# Project plan — paymyfines-worker

Evidence date: 2026-10-07.

Source repository: `git@bitbucket.org:overdrive/paymyfines-worker.git`.

Inspected revision: `master` at `a8ba8cf` (2021-06-08, Jaco Brits, "first commit"). That commit is `origin/HEAD`. The only remote branch is `master`. There are no tags.

The scan-host path named on the onboarding issue (`~/projects/sonar_scan/repos/paymyfines-worker`) was not on this machine. The tree below was read from the git revision above. That revision is the same commit the issue records (`a8ba8cf`, 2021-06-08 07:52:33 +0200).

This plan describes what the repository contains. It does not decide what the product should become.

There is no README, license, product brief, or prior Silicon Ark set for `paymyfines-worker`.

## Product

**Unknown.** Nothing in the committed tree states a product purpose, a user, or a problem being solved.

The repository name is `paymyfines-worker`. **Inferred from the name only:** someone may have intended a background worker for Pay My Fines. No commit message, file, or comment says that.

Silicon Ark already documents two repositories whose names and contents are Pay My Fines:

- `pmf-backend-ah`
- `pmf-frontend-ah`

This repository does not mention them. Those documents do not mention `paymyfines-worker`. Whether the three are one product is **Unknown / Requires Confirmation**.

## What this repository is

A Bitbucket repository with two commits and no application source.

Committed paths at `a8ba8cf`:

| Path | What it is |
|---|---|
| `.gitignore` | Text ignore list. Its own header says the patterns are examples to customize, and it links to an Atlassian Git tutorial |
| `.vs/ProjectSettings.json` | Visual Studio workspace setting. `CurrentProjectSetting` is `null` |
| `.vs/VSWorkspaceState.json` | Visual Studio workspace UI state. One expanded node, an empty string. `PreviewInSolutionExplorer` is `false` |
| `.vs/slnx.sqlite` | Binary Visual Studio workspace index, 90112 bytes. Schema version `1.3.5` |

Provenance: **Implemented** (the files are in git). Calling the `.vs` directory a Visual Studio workspace cache is **Inferred** from the path and from the tables and JSON keys inside those files.

No `.sln`, `.csproj`, source file, test, dependency manifest, pipeline, Docker file, or infrastructure file is committed.

## History

| Commit | Date | Author | Subject |
|---|---|---|---|
| `44de6f7` | 2021-06-01 13:39:14 +0000 | Jaco Brits (`jaco@overdrive.co.za`) | Initial commit — adds `.gitignore` only |
| `a8ba8cf` | 2021-06-08 07:52:33 +0200 | Jaco Brits (`jaco@overdrive.co.za`) | first commit — adds `.vs/ProjectSettings.json`, `.vs/VSWorkspaceState.json`, `.vs/slnx.sqlite` |

Nothing in git is dated after 2021-06-08.

The workspace index records when Visual Studio noticed files, as .NET ticks converted to UTC:

| Indexed path | Last observed (UTC) |
|---|---|
| `.gitignore` | 2021-06-08 05:50:49 |
| `.vs\ProjectSettings.json` | 2021-06-08 05:51:10 |
| `.vs` and `.vs\VSWorkspaceState.json` | 2021-06-08 05:51:45 |

The commit is 2021-06-08 05:52:33 UTC. **Inferred:** the folder was opened in Visual Studio, indexed, and committed about a minute later. The index lists no other files. `SymbolDefinition` has 0 rows. `ProjectBuildConfigurations` and `StartupProjectFiles` are empty, and `CurrentStartupProject` is `null`.

## Scope in this repository

In scope, because it is committed:

- The default-style ignore list.
- Visual Studio workspace metadata for a folder that had no solution and no source.

Out of scope, because it is not in this repository:

- Any Pay My Fines application, API, website, payment flow, or settlement job.
- A worker, queue, scheduler, or executable.
- Hosting, a database, credentials, and a deployment pipeline.

## Architecture

No application architecture is present.

There is no process to deploy, no interface to call, and no data store the application owns. The only binary is the Visual Studio index.

## Milestones and implementation plan

No milestone, roadmap, or implementation plan is in the repository.

**Inferred** sequence from the two commits: the remote was created with a stock ignore file on 2021-06-01, the empty folder was opened in Visual Studio on 2021-06-08, and work stopped. That is history, not a plan.

## Dependencies

No dependency manifest is committed. The ignore list names directories and extensions used by Node, Java, Python, Maven, JetBrains, macOS, and Windows. Those names are in the template text. They are not evidence that this repository uses those stacks. See `technical-documentation.md`.

## Current status

Dormant. One branch (`master`), two commits, last change 2021-06-08, no application source.

Whether anyone still expects this repository to hold a worker is **Unknown / Requires Confirmation**.

## Discrepancy — scan-host file list

The onboarding issue (recorded 2026-09-28) lists this top-level structure from the scan host:

```text
sonar-project.properties
sonarqube_scan.bat
```

Neither file is in git at `a8ba8cf`. The 2021-06-08 Visual Studio index does not list them either. The scan-host path was not available here, so their contents were not read.

**Unknown / Requires Confirmation:** those two files may be untracked files that exist only on the scan host. Hidden paths (`.gitignore`, `.vs/`) are in git and were absent from that listing, which fits a listing that skipped dotfiles. That does not explain Sonar files being listed when git does not contain them.

## Human confirmation

1. Was `paymyfines-worker` meant to be a Pay My Fines worker, and if so, which product (`pmf-backend-ah`, `pmf-frontend-ah`, or another)?
2. Do `sonar-project.properties` and `sonarqube_scan.bat` exist outside git, and what do they contain?
3. Should this repository stay, be archived, or be left as an empty remote?
