# Technical documentation — megan_code

Evidence date: 2026-10-09. Source: `git@bitbucket.org:overdrive/megan_code.git`, `main` at `c7a0ba188683f5aaaf9316e30544868f5bfc9117` (2024-04-15, "Initial commit", author Jaco Brits).

Inspection method: a clone of `origin/main` (history has a single commit, so the full history was present). `git log --all`, `git show-ref`, and `git tag` were read. The only blob is `.gitignore`.

## Repository

| Item | Value | Provenance |
|---|---|---|
| Bitbucket project path | `overdrive/megan_code` | Implemented (remote) |
| Origin URL recorded at discovery | `git@bitbucket.org:overdrive/megan_code.git` | Documented in OVER-198 |
| Default branch | `main` | Implemented (`origin/HEAD`) |
| Other branches | None | Implemented (`git show-ref`) |
| Tags | None | Implemented (`git tag` empty) |
| Tip | `c7a0ba188683f5aaaf9316e30544868f5bfc9117` | Implemented |
| Commit date | 2024-04-15 14:24:55 +0000 | Implemented |
| Files in that commit | `.gitignore` only | Implemented (`git log --stat`) |

A fresh working tree:

```text
megan_code/
  .gitignore
```

No README, license, source directory, test directory, CI file, Docker file, or infrastructure file is committed.

## Application structure

There is no application.

Not present:

- Language toolchain file (no `package.json`, `composer.json`, `requirements.txt`, `pyproject.toml`, `*.csproj`, `pom.xml`, `build.gradle`, `go.mod`, `Cargo.toml`, `Gemfile`).
- Framework bootstrap.
- Database schema or migration.
- HTTP route, CLI command, or function entry point.
- Authentication.
- Background worker, queue, or scheduler.
- Object storage or file-upload handling.
- Monitoring or logging configuration (the ignore file ignores `*.log`; it does not configure a logger).
- Automated tests.
- Deployment pipeline (`bitbucket-pipelines.yml` is absent).

## `.gitignore`

50 lines. The first comment block says the patterns are examples to customize and links to `https://www.atlassian.com/git/tutorials/saving-changes/gitignore`.

**Inferred:** the wording and the commit message "Initial commit" match Bitbucket's default "include a .gitignore" repository creation. That inference is not required to use the file. What is certain is the committed text.

Pattern list (duplicates kept as committed):

- `node_modules/`, `dist/`
- `*.class`
- `*.py[cod]`
- `*.log`
- `*.jar`
- `target/`, `dist/`
- `.idea/`
- `TEST*.xml`
- `.DS_Store`
- `Thumbs.db`
- `*.app`, `*.exe`, `*.war`
- `*.mp4`, `*.tiff`, `*.avi`, `*.flv`, `*.mov`, `*.wmv`

`dist/` appears twice. No pattern ignores `sonar-project.properties` or `sonarqube_scan.bat`, so those names would be committable if they were added. They were not added.

## Languages and frameworks

**Unknown / Requires Confirmation.** Example ignore patterns are not a stack decision. No source file selects a language.

## Data

No database, schema, or persistent data store is configured in the repository.

## APIs

No API is defined.

## External integrations

No client or credential for an external system is committed.

SonarQube is not configured in Git. See the scan-host note below.

## Infrastructure and deployment

No Dockerfile, compose file, Terraform, serverless manifest, or Bitbucket pipeline is committed.

Where the repository would be deployed, and whether it is deployed at all: **Unknown / Requires Confirmation.**

## Environment configuration

No `.env`, `.env.example`, or config file is committed. `.gitignore` does not list `.env`.

No secret material was found in the committed file (comments and ignore patterns only).

## Auth

No application authentication. Bitbucket access control for the remote is outside this tree. **Unknown / Requires Confirmation.**

## Background work

No worker, cron entry, or queue consumer is committed.

## Security

Committed content is a public-style example ignore file. No key, password, or token is in it.

There is no application attack surface in this tree because there is no application.

`*.exe`, `*.war`, and `*.jar` are ignored. That does not by itself document a security control.

## Development and testing

No test runner, lint config, or contributor guide is committed.

How a developer is expected to build or run this project: **Unknown / Requires Confirmation.** There is nothing to build from the committed tree.

## Scan-host files not in Git

OVER-198 recorded this listing for `~/projects/sonar_scan/repos/megan_code` on 2026-09-28:

```text
sonar-project.properties
sonarqube_scan.bat
```

This inspection cloned `origin/main` because that path was not on the inspection machine (`~/projects/sonar_scan/repos` was absent). The clone does not contain those files, and Git history never did.

Possible readings, none confirmed:

- Untracked files on a scan host working copy.
- Files placed by a SonarQube scan job beside the clone, never committed.
- A discovery listing that does not match this remote.

Their contents, Sonar project key, and whether a scan has ever run: **Unknown / Requires Confirmation.**

## How to re-check

```text
git clone git@bitbucket.org:overdrive/megan_code.git
git log --all --name-only
git ls-tree -r HEAD
```

A change to this document is warranted when `main` gains a commit, or when the scan-host files are confirmed and their contents can be read.
