# Technical documentation — email_campaigner

Evidence date: 2026-10-15. Source: `git@bitbucket.org:overdrive/email_campaigner.git`, `main` at `1f31d32e0fc70fd1326e40f220a6202b008ad8c3`.

Provenance labels: **Documented**, **Implemented**, **Inferred**, **Planned**, **Unknown**.

No technical document existed in the repository or in `silicon_ark/email_campaigner/` before this file.

## What this repository is

A Bitbucket Git repository in the `overdrive` workspace with slug `email_campaigner`. On 2026-10-15 `main` contained one commit and one file.

Provenance: **Implemented** (clone, `git log`, `git ls-tree`, `git cat-file`).

## Inspection method

1. The tree was cloned with `git clone --depth 1 https://bitbucket.org/overdrive/email_campaigner.git`. `git status -sb` reported `## main...origin/main`.
2. `git branch -a` listed only `main` and `remotes/origin/HEAD -> origin/main`.
3. `git rev-list --all --count` printed `1`. `git tag -l` printed nothing.
4. `git ls-tree -r HEAD` listed `.gitignore` only (blob `b24d71e22373e5147f3c05c68a8742714a89b5d6`).
5. `git cat-file -p HEAD` shows tree `a10810a376f031d82b8f642011c948453955d21d`, author and committer Jaco Brits, and no parent line. The message is `Initial commit`.
6. `git fetch --unshallow` completed without adding commits. The count stayed 1. The first shallow fetch had marked the root commit in `.git/shallow`; that marker was a depth limit, not evidence of a missing parent.
7. The scan-host path `~/projects/sonar_scan/repos/email_campaigner` does not exist on this machine (`%USERPROFILE%\projects\sonar_scan\repos\email_campaigner` is absent). The filename in OVER-108 was therefore not opened.
8. Bitbucket repository metadata through the Bitbucket API client returned HTTP 401, so project settings, default-branch configuration beyond `origin/HEAD`, and permissions were not read. Git's `origin/HEAD` still points at `origin/main`.

## Application structure

```text
email_campaigner/
└── .gitignore
```

No `src/`, `app/`, `public/`, tests, or infra directory exists in the remote. Local `.git/` after the clone is client metadata and is not a project source file.

## The only file

`.gitignore` is 50 lines. The first lines are comments:

- "These are some examples of commonly ignored file patterns."
- "You should customize this list as applicable to your project."
- A link to `https://www.atlassian.com/git/tutorials/saving-changes/gitignore`.

Patterns that follow, grouped as the file comments group them:

| Comment in the file | Patterns |
|---|---|
| Node artifact files | `node_modules/`, `dist/` |
| Compiled Java class files | `*.class` |
| Compiled Python bytecode | `*.py[cod]` |
| Log files | `*.log` |
| Package files | `*.jar` |
| Maven | `target/`, `dist/` (second time) |
| JetBrains IDE | `.idea/` |
| Unit test reports | `TEST*.xml` |
| Generated by MacOS | `.DS_Store` |
| Generated by Windows | `Thumbs.db` |
| Applications | `*.app`, `*.exe`, `*.war` |
| Large media files | `*.mp4`, `*.tiff`, `*.avi`, `*.flv`, `*.mov`, `*.wmv` |

Provenance: **Implemented** (file contents at `1f31d32`).

**Inferred:** this is a host-generated starter ignore file. The commit message is `Initial commit`, the commit contains nothing else, and the header tells the reader to customize the examples. That file does not select a language. Node, Java, Python, and Maven patterns appear together because the template lists them together.

The same header and the same pattern groups are transcribed in `silicon_ark/storefront/technical-documentation.md` for that repository's first commit (`d1ecaaf`). This note did not byte-compare the two blobs. The match of the transcribed groups is **Inferred** as the same starter template.

`sonar-project.properties` is not among the patterns.

## Frameworks and languages

No source file exists from which a language could be identified by syntax.

| Signal | What it supports | Provenance |
|---|---|---|
| Slug `email_campaigner` | Nothing technical | **Unknown** |
| `.gitignore` at `1f31d32` | No single language. Example list | **Implemented** file text |
| `package.json`, `pom.xml`, `*.py`, `*.java`, `*.php` | Would identify a stack. None are in git | **Unknown** whether any stack was intended |

**Unknown / Requires Confirmation** what stack was intended, if any.

## Runtime configuration

No `.env`, config file, or example environment is in git. `.gitignore` does not mention `.env`.

## Authentication

No application auth. Bitbucket access control for push and admin was not listed (API client returned 401). **Unknown / Requires Confirmation.**

## Data

No database, migration, schema, or local store.

## APIs

No HTTP route, client, or OpenAPI file.

## Background work

No worker, queue, cron, or pipeline definition. There is no `bitbucket-pipelines.yml`.

## Storage

No bucket, disk path, or upload handler.

## Mail

No SMTP settings, mail library, template, or provider client. The slug is the only mail-related token in evidence, and it is a repository name.

## Build, environments, and scripts

No build script. No `Dockerfile`, `docker-compose`, `Makefile`, or host-specific config.

## Testing

No test runner and no tests. `TEST*.xml` appears only as an ignore pattern. There is nothing to execute.

## Security notes (observed, not a pentest)

No application surface is present, so there is no route or dependency to review. No credential file was in the tree.

The ignore list does not exclude `.env` or other secret filenames. That is the starter template as committed. It is not evidence that a secret file exists.

## Deployment and operations

**Unknown / Requires Confirmation.** Nothing in git names a host, a pipeline, a document root, or a monitoring system.

OVER-108 lists `sonar-project.properties` on the scan-host working tree. It is not in the remote, and its contents were not read. A Sonar project key, server URL, or scan command cannot be stated.

## Related repositories

A Markdown search of Silicon Ark for `email_campaigner` before this directory returned no hits. No remote URL, import, or file in this repository names another project.

| Repository | Relationship as evidenced | Provenance |
|---|---|---|
| Other Overdrive repositories that send mail | Separate products. Their Silicon Ark notes do not name this slug | **Unknown** whether any of them was meant to live here |

## Human confirmation

- Intended language, framework, and host, if this repository is still a planned codebase.
- Bitbucket project permissions.
- Contents of the scan-host `sonar-project.properties`, if that file is considered part of the project.
