# Project plan — PipelineFTP

Evidence date: 2026-10-06.

Source repository: `git@bitbucket.org:overdrive/pipelineftp.git`.

Inspected revision: `master` at `7afe299` (2019-06-02, Jaco Brits, "Initial Bitbucket Pipelines configuration"). The scan-host path `~/projects/sonar_scan/repos/PipelineFTP` was not on this machine. The tree below was read from that git revision.

This plan describes what the repository contains. It does not decide what the product should become.

## Product

The only product name in the repository is the README heading **PipelineFTP**. That file is a single Markdown H1 and nothing else.

There is no application source, no FTP client or server, no configuration for a transfer, and no written statement of purpose beyond the repository name and that heading.

Provenance: **Documented** (the heading in `README.md`). The absence of an FTP implementation is **Implemented** in the sense that the tree at `7afe299` contains only `README.md` and `bitbucket-pipelines.yml`.

There is no prior project plan, PRD, features list, or business-rules document in the source repository or in Silicon Ark before this set.

## Branch reality

| Line | Tip | Date | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|
| `master` (default; `origin/HEAD`) | `7afe299` | 2019-06-02 | Only branch. Two commits, both by Jaco Brits (`jaco@overdrive.co.za`) |

No tags and no other local or remote branches were present at inspection.

History:

- `273ff01` — 2019-06-01 — "Initial commit" — adds `README.md` (heading only).
- `7afe299` — 2019-06-02 — "Initial Bitbucket Pipelines configuration" — adds `bitbucket-pipelines.yml`.

The pipeline file is Atlassian's stock sample for a project type of "Other": image `atlassian/default-image:2`, one `default` step, script `echo "Everything is awesome!"`. The file comments point at `https://confluence.atlassian.com/x/5Q4SMw`. Provenance: **Documented** in the YAML comments. That this matches Bitbucket's pipelines-enablement sample is **Inferred** from that comment text and the commit message.

**Discrepancy:** the task-creation scan listed `sonar-project.properties` and `sonarqube_scan.bat` at the repository root. Neither file appears in either commit. Provenance: **Unknown** — they may have been untracked files on the scan host.

## Objectives

No written objectives, milestones, or backlog exist in the repository.

**Unknown / Requires Confirmation:** whether "PipelineFTP" was meant to be an FTP product, a CI wrapper for another system, or only a repository created so Bitbucket Pipelines could be turned on.

## Scope

### In scope of `master`

1. A one-line README heading, `PipelineFTP`.
2. A sample Bitbucket Pipelines definition that runs a single echo on the `default` pipeline.

### Out of scope / not in this repository

- FTP, SFTP, or file-transfer code, credentials, hosts, schedules, or directories.
- An application language, framework, database, API, UI, test suite, or package manifest.
- SonarQube configuration. The two sonar-related filenames from the task-creation scan are not in git, and `bitbucket-pipelines.yml` does not call a scanner.
- Deployment of any service. The pipeline step does not build or publish an artifact.
- A written plan for what should be built next.

## System architecture

```text
Push to Bitbucket (pipelines.default — the only pipeline in the file)
   |
   v
Bitbucket Pipelines step
   image: atlassian/default-image:2
   script: echo "Everything is awesome!"
   |
   v
Pipeline log line. No artifact, no deploy, no external product call.
```

There is no runtime application beside that CI step.

## Major components

| Component | Role | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| `README.md` | Names the repository | Heading only |
| `bitbucket-pipelines.yml` | Sample CI step | Atlassian sample comments and one echo |

## Milestones and implementation plan

None are written down. The repository has not changed since 2019-06-02.

## Known dependencies

| Dependency | How it appears | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Bitbucket Pipelines | `bitbucket-pipelines.yml` | Only `pipelines.default` is defined |
| Docker image `atlassian/default-image:2` | `image:` key | Pulled as the step environment. What that image contains is not described in this repository |

No `package.json`, `requirements.txt`, `composer.json`, `go.mod`, `Dockerfile`, or lockfile is present.

## Current project status

Dormant. Two commits in June 2019. The committed behaviour is the sample echo. No product implementation is in git.

## Requires confirmation

1. Whether an FTP product was intended, and whether its code lives in another repository.
2. Whether `sonar-project.properties` and `sonarqube_scan.bat` existed only as untracked files on the scan host.
3. Whether this repository should stay as a placeholder, be archived, or be ignored by further product work.
4. Whether the sample pipeline is still expected to run on push.
5. Who the users were supposed to be. None are named in the repository.
